보는 자가 여래다• 卽見如來 Just Seeing is Buddha-nature


若人欲識佛境界 만일 그대가 부처를 알려고 하면
If you wnat to understand the realm of Buddhas,


當淨其意如虛空 그대의 마음을 허공과 같이 맑게 해야 한다.
Keep a mind that is clear like space.


遠離妄想反諸趣 모든 생각과 욕망을 놓아버리고
Let all thinking and external desires fall away.


令心所向皆無碍 마음가는 곳에 걸림이 없게 하라.
Let your mind go anywhere with no hindrance.


還當淨其意如虛空麽 자, 그러면 이제 그대의 마음을 허공과 같이 했는가?
Then what is keeping a mind that is clear like space?


其或未然 更聽註脚 此正覺覺性

만약 그렇지 못하다면 다음에 하는 말을 잘 보라. 이것이 바로 완전한 깨달음의 성품이다.

If your mind is not clear, listen to the following, It is enlightenment nature.


上至諸佛 下至六凡 위로는 여러 부처님으로부터 아래로는 6도 중생에 이르기 까지

Above is the dwelling place of all Buddhas Below are the six realm of existence.


一一當當 一一 俱足 각각 완전한 존재이며 각자가 일체를 갖고 있다.
One by one, each thing is complete. One by one, each thing has it


塵塵上通 物物上現 낱낱의 티끌이 서로 통하고 일체 사물이 서로 드러나니,
It and dust interpenetrate, It is already apparent in all things.


不得修成 了了明明
마음 닦을 것도 없이 당신은 이미 완벽하다. 분명하고도 분명하다.
So, without cultivation, you are already comlete. Understand, understand, clear, clear.


(拈柱杖云 ) 還見麽 (주장자를 들며 ) 이제 보이는가 ?
(Holding the Zen stick) Do you see?


(打柱杖云) 還聞麽 (주장자를 치며) 이제 들리는가?
Hitting with the Zen stick) Do you hear?


旣了了見 旣丆丆聞 이미 당신은 분명히 보고 분명히 듣고 있다.
Already you see clearly, Already you hear clearly.


畢竟 是個甚麽 同耶 別耶
그러면 이것들이(그대의 마음, 주장자, 이 소리) 같은가, 다른가?
Then what are this stick, this sound, and your mind?
Are they the same? Or different?


同也 打三十棒 같다고 해도 이 주장자로 30방을 때리겠고
If you say same' I will hit you thirty times.


別也 打三十棒 다르다고 해도 30방을 때리겠다.
If you say 'different' I will hit you thirty times.


何以故 喝 三三九 왜인가? 할! 삼삼은 구
